Looking at the Big Picture
Being a doctor is not as simple as just walking into a room and diagnosing a patient. There are critical legal, social, and moral issues to consider while practicing medicine. Some of the major issues revolve around malpractice. This is when a patient feels that a doctor was not properly handling the case and/or illness, and was in some way negligent. This is a major issue that doctors face in their careers in medicine.
Technology has made the process of diagnosing and helping patients easier, so the actual task of practicing medicine has become much simpler. This also means that there is more education involved as there is a need to learn and use the devices available. Some of the machines used today include surgery lasers, heart replacement robots, and even brain surgery arthroscopy.
The entire field of medicine needs to have young and healthy minds coming in and keeping it energized. If the task and challenges are something that a person can handle, then a medical career is a rewarding and fulfilling choice.
